The importance of keeping Romance Alive in Your Marriage
Because the romance, which was there in the beginning, has slowly fallen by the wayside. Gradually, over the course of several years, spouses stop seeing their spouse as the special person that they fell in love with all those many years ago.
To keep your relationship with your spouse alive you have to keep the romance alive in your marriage.
So how do I keep the romance alive or how do I re-introduce romance after it’s been absent for so many years
Ideas to Keep Romance Alive In Your Busy Marriage
· Have an "indoor" picnic with candles and pizza along with a game such as strip poker or strip Uno!
· Shower or bath together.
· Give sensual massages to each other.
· Read the wonderful stories on marriage and romance together.
· Tell each other often that you love them more every day.
· Do all that you can to show each other that they are truly loved and appreciated and do so sincerely.
· Have flowers delivered to your partner's workplace. She will not only enjoy the flowers but will also receive comments and attention from her office mates which will add to her enjoyment.
· Sticky-Note spouse car: This is a FUN way to show you love him/her. Grab some sticky notes and write something you love about your partner or a memory on EVERY little piece of paper. Then stick them ALL over your partner’s car, inside and out. If your partner doesn’t have a car – you can use the bathroom or the refrigerator. Somewhere you are sure your partner is bound to go!
· Pray together and take turns praying.
· Sincerely complement each other everyday.
· Buy the domain name of your partner's name if it is available for example www.kimberlyteniola.com. Create a web page containing a romantic poem and a picture of a rose. When your partner is surfing the web, casually ask whether she has ever checked to see whether her domain name is taken. Let her type it in to discover her page.
· Communicate what you want sexually and in detail - don't ever go away from a love-making session without making sure both are fully and completely satisfied and feeling more loved.
· Nauthy Gifts : As silly as it might sound, how about surprising your partner with some sort of naughty present? It could be anything that sparks your spouse's bedroom imagination. You can just try anything you thinks that will work. There are many shops and stores to buy things from, more discreetly online. Hide the present under his or her pillow and see their reaction! This not only stimulates your creative thinking, it also throws a blatant message to your partner that you are ready to try something new and basically get it on!
· Buy a stylish hand mirror and give it to your partner as a gift. Include a card in the box saying “In this mirror you will see the image of the most beautiful woman in the world.”
· When away from each other throughout the normal working days, make your phone calls to each other loving and special. Let them know that when you get home that you will attack them with hugs and kisses.
· Buy a packet of glow in the dark stars and stick the stars on the roof above your bed to spell out a message such as "I Love You" When the lights go down, your message will be revealed!
· Resolve problems quickly and never get mad at each other.
· Be humorous, laugh, smile, be pleasant - who wants to be married to a grouch anyway.
· If your partner is going away for a few days, tell her that you are worried about her so you have organized a bodyguard to look after her. Then give her a small teddy bear.
· Hold hands and cuddle a lot when watching TV or at Church. It is so sad to see couples at Church who sit apart like strangers or mentally divorced from each other.
· On a special occasion, buy your partner eleven real red roses and one artificial red rose. Place the artificial rose in the centre of the bouquet. Attach a card that says: “I will love you until the last rose fades.”
· BE A FLIRT: Who said after you’re married you can’t flirt?! The flirting MUST continue. Make your fall in love with you all over again!
· Just commit to each other that your love and passion will grow more everyday and then make it happen!
· If you are walking by a park, visit the swings and give your partner a ride. This will often bring back happy memories from her childhood.
· When your spouse has had a really long hard day, run a hot bath for her. Pour some fragrant bath oil into the tub and gently bathe her from head to toe. Carry her into the bedroom. Gently towel her dry and tuck her into a freshly made bed with a kiss on the forehead.
· If your partner has a pet that she adores, at Christmas, in addition to buying a gift for your partner, buy a small present for her pet.
· Go for a walk on the beach. Trace out the shape of a large love heart in the sand. Sit inside the heart and cuddle your partner as you watch the sun go down.
· If your partner has long hair, take the time to brush it using long slow strokes. This is particularly effective after she has had a shower or when she is getting ready for bed.
· Write a note saying "I thought of you today, and it made me smile." Leave the note somewhere where your partner is sure to find it.
· Organize a mystery trip for you and your partner. Some travel agents will organize mystery packages where the destination of the trip is kept secret until you are actually on the plane or arrive at the destination.
· When you and your partner are having an anniversary, buy two champagne glasses and get them engraved with your names and the date, for example:

· Go to the restaurant where you have made your reservations and request that when you and your partner arrive that your champagne be served in your special glasses. This will be a great surprise for your partner and a wonderful keepsake for you both.
· If you shower first in the morning. Steam up the bathroom and write a message such as "Gerry Loves Timkim" on the mirror for your partner to read when she uses the bathroom. This also works on car windows when it's cold.
Improve Your Kiss-ability
When you were dating, your kisses were designed to convey the message that she was special to you. Why did that have to change?
Also, find more ‘excuses” just to kiss her - not necessarily as an introduction to sex later on, but just for the pure pleasure of kissing her. A proper kiss shows your attachment to the love of your life.
As couple become comfortable with each other, kisses can become lame. Get rid of pecks and get serious with the kisses. The next time the two of you greet each other, enjoy your kiss and do not be so quick to stop. While there are appropriate times for serious kissing, they should be loving, sincere, and passionate, regardless of how long they last. You will find that as you pay attention to your kissing and let your mate know that you enjoy kissing them, you will both feel better about your relationship.
Kissing your spouse in public. That’s a good way of showing the World you love your partner. But at home the kisses can (and sometimes have to) be more intimate. So, instead of just a peck on the mouth when you get home from work, why not give yout partner a warm “5 second hi honey I’m so glad to be home with you”.
Did you know that medical research has found that people who frequently kiss their spouse live on average 5 years longer – partly because it is a major stress reliever? Well, those are simply “fringe benefits” as far as I’m concerned - the major advantage of kissing your wife is an improved relationship, improved marriage and improved example for your children. This is really an “investment” that will flow down into the next generation and generation unborn, since it has been proven that our children learn more from the examples we set than from our teachings.
